One Way Valve
Injector Lines
Nissan TD42 Fuel Pump
CHANGING INJECTORS When starting an engine after fitting new injectors do not rev the engine as this could cause a sticking injector nozzle. The nozzle requires diesel to lubricate it.
ONE WAY VALVE
This low cost item could possibly save you and your customer considerable time and effort in solving 'hard starting problems'. A common complaint is hard starting after the vehicle has been sitting idle for long periods or overnight. This may be due to bleed back [air getting into the system] and results in lack of fuel and requires manual priming and bleeding of the fuel system.
By fitting a one way valve into the fuel hose connecting to the inlet of the fuel pump [as close as possible to the pump] you should rectify the problem.
One way valves are available in 3 sizes 6, 8 and 10mm.

INJECTOR LINES
When removing injectors and loosening injector lines at the fuel pump, make sure not to loosen the delivery value holders on the fuel pump.
Back to top NISSAN TD42 FUEL PUMP
If you are having 'low power' or 'lack of fuel' problems with this pump as a starting point check the 'strainer' filter to see if it is restricting fuel flow due to it being full of accumulated rubbish.
The filter is actually a filter basket in shape and is located under the banjo bolt, which connects the fuel inlet pipe to the pump. Look carefully down the hole and you will see a ridge at the end of the bolt thread and use a piece of wire etc to remove and then clean.
We can supply replacement filters if required.
